And, boy, would I have wanted to work with them some more but, alas, it seems this will remain wishful thinking as they have been the first prey of D2C giant&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zed.com\/\">Zed<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.moconews.net\/entry\/419-zed-takes-143-million-loan-to-fund-ma\/\">M&amp;A fund<\/a>: yes, they have been <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fiercemobilecontent.com\/story\/zed-acquires-mobitween\/2008-09-08?utm_medium=nl&amp;utm_source=internal&amp;cmp-id=EMC-NL-FMC&amp;dest=FMC\">acquired<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;cursor:hand;margin:0 0 10px 10px;\" src=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/_krrmJx627x4\/SMcPeTPl2EI\/AAAAAAAACio\/EJ9U8y5ngRY\/s320\/mobitween_logo_big.gif\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<div>The deal &#8211; unfortunately for me, I guess &#8211; makes a lot of sense to Zed, who have been raising their revenue numbers to heights so dizzying they would nearly make the initial investments comprehensible&#8230; (if only the initial investors had seen anything of that success; but well&#8230;): Zed <a href=\"http:\/\/volkersthoughts.blogspot.com\/2008\/02\/from-to-zed-in-12-billion-dollars.html\">famously claims<\/a> to make up to 85% of their revenue with<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0predominantly in-house produced generic content, and when it comes to speed and efficiency, mobile flash in general and the guys at Mobitween in particular have no match.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>So, well done them, and let&#8217;s hope Flash will continue to roll as it started to promise, so that we can all marvel at dramatically reduced time to market and, consequently, hopefully a vastly improved content offering all around (oh, and buy Zed shares if you can).<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Every reader of this blog will have realized for some time that I am a fan of mobile Flash and the good folks at Mobitween (just see here\u00a0and here), the mobile Flash pioneers from Paris.
